First, they are made in the U.S.A. from 100% #2 recycled plastic.  That’s no accident because HDPE is the strongest of the plastic resins.  We don’t mix plastics so you can count on consistent strength and durability throughout all products.  Second, the large viewing window door is installed with a full-length piano hinge on the inside.  This feature fully supports the swinging door and deters vandals because they can’t unscrew the hinges to get inside.  And the security locks are always included.  Next, the window is polycarbonate, which is stronger than acrylic for impact resistance.  And the cherry on top is the recycled rubber tackboard on the inside.  Because it’s inorganic, it doesn’t rot or mold like cork can, and doesn’t absorb moisture and warp.  And because it’s made of recycled rubber, we think it’s the more sustainable option.
