While ADA standards for parks and recreational spaces refer to the landscape and accessibility, the U.S. Access Board guidelines recommend features that make public furniture easier for people of all abilities to use.
The Traditional 8′ ADA Backed Bench has an 18¾” seat height. The sturdy arms are helpful to mature guests and everyone with limited mobility when sitting down and rising to stand by providing bracing and a handhold. The seat is extra deep and the tall seat back provides additional full support for the back, head, and neck.
